When I couldn't make it to my best friend's baby shower, I was compelled to be there in spirit by creating a custom watercolor invitation suite, signs, and thank you notes. She did not know the sex of the baby, so we went with a neutral Peter Rabbit theme that tied in to the springtime shower and due date (April/May). While I was so sad to miss it, it was so special to be a part of the event and create something unique for the baby's arrival.
The artwork was used for signs, thank you notes, and the invitation suite via Paperless Post.
Finally, it was her mother's idea to surprise her with a custom guest book decorated with colorful fingerprints. I merged relevant themes including Peter Rabbit, a white picket fence to match their new house, their beloved pup Bucky, and a robin signaling spring, growth, and happiness. Guests added their fingerprints to the piece, and it is now displayed in the baby's nursery.
After the event, I printed thank you notes that were also used as blank Easter and springtime greeting cards.
